NTR's Spring weekly online publication. A spotlight for current UNT undergraduates in any major & department!
Artists may submit up to 2 images of original artwork of any medium and a maximum of 5 photographs in a collection.
*Submit your images as a regular file. Upon acceptance, we may ask for the original file, which must be at minimum 300 dpi and a .jpg file type, so prepare ahead!
*If your work is a physical product, please upload a picture in professional studio lighting/angles! Editors are here to help if you do not have access to professional-grade photographing.
Artists may submit up to 2 pieces of original composition/audio as separate submissions. Along with their audio file, artists may upload a link to the work for online access (YouTube, Spotify, Soundcloud, etc.) along with any sheet music and/or lyrics available. Please include this link within the document submitted.
Writers may submit up to 3 poems as separate submissions in any form and on any subject.
*Each separate poem submission may not exceed 3 pages total.
Writers may submit up to 2 pieces of fiction (including traditional short stories, short plays, short screenplays) and/or up to 2 pieces of non-fiction (creative nonfiction and opinion pieces/analysis are welcome!) as separate submissions.
Any of these submissions can be selected excerpts of longer works.
*Each separate submission may not exceed 12 pages total (about 3,500 words double-spaced).
Please read the following information carefully. Violation of our formatting guidelines will result in automatic disqualification.
Please submit your piece by uploading the file. Recommended file types include, but are not limited to: PDF, Doc or Docx, JPG, PNG, MP3, or WAV.
Please title your piece with the title of your work as it appears on the document for UNT student submissions and nationwide submissions.
If you are submitting for the Foundations Prize for First-Year UNT Students, format document as follows: "Title - Course Code," e.g. "Title - ART 1600.001".
NO MATTER WHAT: Do not include your name anywhere within the document or the title. Your name and any necessary identifying information will be stated on the submission form itself.
Please keep any personal identifying information out of your piece. Your name should not be anywhere on the actual document or title of your piece, only in the submission form.
Your piece should be formatted single spaced in black Times New Roman, pt. 12 font. Skip lines as needed for your piece's expression.
The first line of your document must have the title of your work bold and underlined. This title should match the title of your file.
Left-align both the title and the piece - unless needed otherwise for the piece's expression.
